Kluge and Mattel Bring Barbie™ into VR with a Synth Riders Experience™

Synth Riders has been a fan-favorite on all major VR platforms for years, transporting players to different worlds featuring artists like Bruno Mars, Gorillaz, and Muse. For the first time, Kluge Interactive is proud to work in collaboration with Mattel, bringing an iconic brand into our critically acclaimed immersive tracks.

Synth Riders Experience™ – Barbie™ Dance ‘n Dream is the first time Barbie™ enters Mixed Reality!

Players will soak in rays at the beach, groove at the roller disco, and dance through Barbie dreams. This unique, immersive musical VR journey is choreographed to the K-pop hit, “Barbie Dreams (feat. Kaliii)” by FIFTY FIFTY from Barbie™ the Album. 

This is big for us in a couple of ways — besides the fact that there’s now another infectious K-Pop song in Synth Riders. The most obvious being that we get to pull players into a Barbie world like never before. Our Meta Quest 3/3s and Apple Vision Pro fans will also have the option to play this Experience™ in both full immersive or Mixed Reality modes. 

Where in the past Synth Riders crafted all-encompassing musical journeys, this Mixed Reality option blurs the lines between this virtual Barbie dream world and the real world, filling players’ living rooms. A Barbie box literally opens to become a free-flowing portal filling your living room to create a unique virtual moment!
